Destino was born in 2006 by classically trained Canadian tenors Leon Leontaridis, Paul Ouellette and Joey Niceforo. Before forming Destino, they were each soloists performing a variety of pop, opera, gospel, soul, R&B, jazz and musical theatre music.

Their debut performance was in Vancouver on July 8, 2006, and their debut commercial CD, Forte was released in July 2008.
